Robert Parker Wine Advocate is one of the world’s most recognized and respected wine reviews publications. Founded in 1978 by Robert M. Parker, Jr., all articles and reviews are subscriber-funded and therefore unbiased, composed by a small team of fulltime employed, regionally focused wine experts based around the world. Filter and search nearly 400,000 tasting notes and scores via this app, with new reviews added nearly every week and around 30,000 reviews published each year. The online database also houses an archive of dedicated Wine Advocate articles and vintage reports dating back to 1992.

Latest reviews of Robert Parker app for iPhone and iPad

Not practical
This app was never very good and with the latest update its useless. Every time you open the app you have to log in. The app itself is very buggy.
Old App had issues but was significantly better
The new version is significantly lacking. You have to login every time you open the app. You cant use keywords to search for a wine. The drinking windows for each wine are not identified. Also it does not tell you when the wine was reviewed. How can you possibly go this far backward?please tell me that an update will be rolled out tomorrow.
Has bee a convenient app, but cannot log in since updating to iOS 9.3.3.
Weak Sauce
As noted by other reviewers - have to sign in every app is used, poor visual display of reviews and no ability to drill down to reviews from vintage charts. Wine Spectator and Vinous Media apps are far superior in functionality and look/ feel. Frankly - the main website has been lagging the competition for years but I put up with it due to the quality of the reviews. This poor app release is another example of the Wine Advocates inability to compete digitally and remain relevant.
Irregular even for an off app
Parker may give the 2010 Montrose or the 2010 Shafer Hillside Select a perfect 100, but he would probably give the latest version of his own app a 73. The old version was sufficiently usable and thorough. The upgraded version in purple/magenta is a disaster. The reviews of many wines have not made their way to the app database yet. All systems updated on my iOS, but not a go for hundreds of reviews that were present in the prior version. For example, there is not one Opus One review to be found. The Emperor needs new app designers.
